Revenue increased slightly, while profit made a strong recovery from a loss in 2023. Vreugdenhil invested over €15 million in total, with a focus on a more sustainable and efficient production process. A major step in this direction was the sale of the former production site in Voorthuizen, where 129 apartments are now being constructed.
Steps were also taken in the area of financing. Through refinancing and expanding the banking consortium, the company gained more room for strategic investment in the energy transition. The financing has a 5-year term with two options to extend by 2 years each.
The milk price paid to Dutch dairy farmers averaged € 50.95 per 100 kg in 2024. With additional sustainability programs such as Tomorrow’s Dairy, in collaboration with Nestlé, Vreugdenhil continues to work towards a future-proof dairy farming sector.
“We are proud of the trust shown by our dairy farmers, suppliers, and customers – it gives us the space to keep investing in quality, in the value of our products, and in the future of our family business,” says Albert de Groot, CEO of Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods.
