Low carbon farming programme

Together with Nestlé, Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods is investing over €50 million in the Low carbon farming programme. Its aim is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50 per cent by 2030 (compared to 2018) by applying the principles of regenerative farming, among other things.

A number of participating dairy farmers in Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods and Nestlé's Low carbon farming programme are adding feed additive Bovaer® to their cattle feed. Bovaer® was developed by dsm-firmenich, an international food, health and beauty company.
